TRACS (Tactical Robotic All-purpose Chassis System) is a high-performance robotic platform on which you can mount a variety of targets. It is capable of traveling at the speed of a running man over a wide variety of terrain conditions. TRACS is operated by the instructor remotely via a radio-control transmitter.

Most weapons training pits the student against static paper targets or at best a turning target that can only limit the time that the target is visible. But enemy combatants never stand still!

What’s needed is a target system that moves. Currently available moving targets are linear and travel at a constant speed. But your adversary won't travel in straight lines at a constant speed!

  • Linear track systems? Too Expensive. Requires dedicated installation.
  • Overhanging wire systems? Wires get shot and the system goes down.
  • Pneumatic targets? Too much money for too few features.

And the most significant shortcoming of the existing systems is predictability. After a few attempts, the student will become accustemed to the movement. This means that while muscle memory can be trained with these systems, tactical training that uses the rest of the brain cannot.

These features alone give you the ability to train students to handle numerous situations that involve a charging assailant. The mobility of TRACS lets you place the unit on standard square ranges, in shoot-houses, in rough dry washes, or in open fields. Its long operation distance lets you use TRACS for sniper training as well.

TRACS is maneuverable. It features a four-wheel drive, skid-steering power system that can travel on very rough terrain while being able to make quick turns.

TRACS is under complete control of the instructor which means that its movements can be deliberately unpredictable. Each successive training run may be totally different from the last.

TRACS is rugged with steel frame construction with bullet-resistant armor plating. Foam-filled tires means you won’t get stuck should a round impact them.

TRACS is portable. The system doesn’t require any kind of permanent modifications to your range and can be moved easily from one range to another or from the range to a shoot-house. If you are an instructor who travels from place to place, you can take TRACS with you. TRACS has virtually no setup time and changing batteries is a snap.

TRACS is very easy to maintain. All moving parts are sealed and require no lubrication.

Multiple TRACS units can be used together to simulate multiple adversaries.
